UN SALUTO DA GRADO

Un saluto da Grado exhibition 02 Un saluto da Grado exhibition 03 Un saluto da Grado exhibition 04

'UN SALUTO DA GRADO' VISUALLY EXPLORES THE ISLAND OF GRADO AS IT WAS AND ITS STUNNING TRANSFORMATION TO THE MOST POPULAR SEASIDE RESORT OF THE MONARCHY BETWEEN 1870 & 1914

Based on postcards, the exhibition demonstrates many aspects of the beginnings of tourism, among them the crossing by boat from Belvedere, the city center, the old town as well as the recreational and entertainment opportunities. Inspired by the location and architecture of a derilect 1960's nightclub building, Architect and Friends designed a layout based on circles. The original space was reduced in size and reshaped through the use of curtains to create the ideal setting. The inspiring colors and fonts originally used in the postcards are also found throughout the exhibition.
